Los Colores de la Alhambra

La Alhambra es el monumento más visitado de España y una obra maestra de la arquitectura nazarí. Esta preciosa fortaleza se empezó a construir en el año 1238, ¡hace más de siete siglos! La Alhambra está en la ciudad de Granada, en Andalucía, en el sur de España. 

La Alhambra está en la colina al-Sabika, entre el río Darro y la montaña de Sierra Nevada, donde se practican deportes como el esquí. Algo muy especial de la Alhambra es que cambia de color al atardecer. Los rayos del sol se reflejan en el material de sus muros y la Alhambra toma un color rojo. De ahí su nombre, que viene del árabe y significa “Castillo Rojo.“

Muchos locales y turistas disfrutan de las vistas y los colores de la Alhambra en alguno de los miradores (como el Albaicín y la Alcazaba). Por ejemplo, puedes ver el rojo de los muros de la Alhambra, el azul del cielo por la mañana (o naranja por la tarde) o el blanco de la nieve de Sierra Nevada. Es muy común hacer fotos en el Mirador de San Nicolás mientras artistas locales tocan instrumentos como la guitarra y cantan flamenco.

Y es que la Alhambra tiene mucho color, por fuera y por dentro. En el interior del monumento puedes ver paredes con azulejos de figuras geométricas de colores: amarillo, verde, negro, blanco, etc.

La Alhambra tiene muchas salas que usaban los califas árabes. Muchas de ellas tienen azulejos y otras tienen patrones geométricos o textos árabes. Todos los espacios tienen detalles decorativos.

Además, hay jardines verdes, patios blancos y fuentes de agua azul. La Alhambra es un lugar mágico y colorido que jamás olvidarás.
